Sketches from my photography

This post is to show the observational sketches I have created for my out of studio task during the October half term which was to take various photographs that show my angle on the theme and do various sketches as well. 

I feel this was a successful sketch as the proportions are correct and there is a nice range of tone but I feel that if I were to do it again I would use charcoal as I feel it would give a desired effect to this piece.

I again feel that this sketch is quite effective but I feel that if I had have given myself more time to do this sketch it would look far more skilful and show a larger amount of tone, however I also feel that if I had used brio or fine liner it would've looked better still

 I feel that these sketches are effective as they both have correct proportions and show a wide range of tone but I feel that my first sketch the pencil observation is more effective despite my thoughts otherwise however now I feet that a hard graphite or charcoal would make it look far more effective
I feel however that an enlargement of a section using pencil would also look effective especially if I use multiple grades of pencil

This was my least effective as the proportions are off and it looks crooked when it should all be symmetrical so therefore this sketch is ineffective as it doesn't accurately portray the focus as originally intended 

I abandoned the sketch on the right as the proportions weren't right and I also left it as an example to myself to remind me of a better way to sketch objects like that and get the proportions right, it can also be used to show how I developed my drawing style due to a mistake I made whilst attempting a large scale sketch.

I feel this is the most effective as it shows a nice range of tone but I feel that if I did it on a larger scale I could show a wider range of tones so if I were to do this again it would be done in a similar or identical media but on a larger scale to try and create a stronger effect.

I feel this looks effective because it show the texture through my use of tone and it also shows the light and shade from the sun accurately. 

I feel that if I had used a harder graphite I would've gotten a better effect from this but however I still feel this effective as it shows off the tones nicely and gives the sketch the effect of the objects texture .

I feel this is effective because of my use of tones but however I feel that some of the tones could be refined for a more accurate result.

I feel this last one is my least effective from this source I feel this way as the tones aren't very strong and impacting this was because the pen was running out so next time if this were to happen I would then change to using a biro to complete it and get a better effect
