We were asked to collect 4 images of different composition and find any relevant information regarding these.
I selected this because I loved the use of colour and how they used powerful words to bring out more otherwise hidden meanings within the work. I also like how they seamlessly incorporated various media and backing into this one small piece
I selected this photo as I like how the artist has used the colour of the background to impact on the drawing in the foreground making it stand out in some places but fade into the background in others.
The face has almost faded into the
background

I selected this image because I like how the face is still recognisable but distorted at the same time, it also looks as if it is fading away a trace at a time like memories
I selected this photo as I like how the different colours of text were used to create the people as the edges of them are faded together and as soon as you see it the vast contrast from the background to the foreground leave a lasting impression.
"Richard Curtner is skilled in numerous mediums of art.
However, he prefers to work in Textual Collage (word collage) presentations.
This self developed new medium that he has been using for over ten years
differentiates him from other artists. His collages are a capsulation of
written text focused on subject matter creating realistic visual images,
provoking inner thought, opening dimensions of contemplation that are otherwise
unseen "thoughts"
This is what was said about the artists style but I feel that he is trying to show the emotion in this memory perhaps with the use of specific words that he has made stand out such as phoenix rising which could indicate a happy memory after hard times but we only see a trace of this'
my images have been selected not only because i like the styles used within each of them but that they link to the theme fade traces memories time and i see how i could develpo these into my own personal art style.
