Artists Observations (Week One)

the sketches below were created from this artists work and were done using different time scales, sizes of paper to fill and different colours or multiple colours.

I feel that overall this is my most effective from this source as I find the way in which the dark blue is faded slightly by the white gives it a interesting effect that is effective on the viewer
I feel that in order for this to be a more effective piece a lighter tone of green shouldve been used to contrast with the dark tone of blue.

I feel that this graphite sketch was good as it is proportional and I feel that continuous line was a good technique to use for this form as it still looks effective even though you can see the lines where I have had to leave gaps.

MECHANICAL-WOLF-RUNNING
These were done using the work of Andrew Chase and I intended to capture the form and tone of the artists work using various media and styles of working.

I attempted to incorporate different tones into this piece to try and make it look a little less flat, I feel I was semi-successful with this but if I were to do this again I would hopefully get a stronger result and it would be more effective to the viewer.

I feel that the sketch above and below are the most effective created from this source as I like how the colours have complimented each other nicely to create an effective and eye-catching piece.

I feel that this sketch is effective as the use of tone portrays the source accurately but I feel that focusing on a smaller are would help me to
I feel that this sketch isnt very effective as I feel I focused on an are too large for the space I used so if I were to do this again I would either focus on a smaller area and make it larger or do it on a larger scale.

I feel that this is my most effective from this source as it portrays the source in an accurate way with an accurate use of colour.

I feel that this is a good interpretation of how the artist uses tones of colour to create the effect of motion along with the direction of his marks

I feel that this source wouldnt be suited to interoperate in charcoal as the range of tones I am looking for I can not seem to achieve with this media

I feel that this is an effective way to interperetate as I am able to get all of the marks and tones into it.
